Biographical Sketch for Renee’ Dauer, M.A., Ed.D.

Dr. Renee’ Dauer serves as Dean of the School of Adult and Professional Studies and Associate Professor of Organizational Leadership at Union University, and she is also the Director of Union’s regional campus in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Renee’ joined Union in May 2010, when the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership program was launched in Hendersonville. Since then, Renee’ has contributed to the growth of Union’s degree offerings for adult students and increased opportunities for earning college credit through prior learning.

Renee’s passion to serve and inspire others called her to teaching over 30 years ago. Prior to joining Union, she taught at Volunteer State Community College in Tennessee and Western Kentucky University. Her professional experience also includes work in training and development, public relations, and marketing for companies such as Dollar General Corporation, J.C. Bradford & Company, and The Visibility Company.

Renee’ works with employers in the community to facilitate partnerships to provide an educated and skilled workforce. In 2013, Renee’ was chosen by the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) to receive the Learning Counts Ambassador award in San Diego, California. In 2019, Renee’ was the recipient of a Women Impacting the Community award in Education by the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Renee’ is an active member of her community. Her education includes degrees from Ohio University, Western Kentucky University, and Union University. She and her husband, Brett, have lived in Hendersonville for over 25 years, and they are members of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church.
