Be the Bridge 2023 Benefit Luncheon and Silent Auction
September 29, 2023
Our 2023 Be the Bridge event was held on Thursday September 21st, 2023, and it exceeded our expectations in every way! We are honored to be a part of such a generous community. Emceed by HFD Chief Scotty Bush, Be the Bridge raised more than $30,000 to help progress our mission in Sumner County.
Be the Bridge 2023 is not only a fundraiser, but a celebration of our program “Community Life Ride”. We were grateful to have had the opportunity to recognize Deborah Wilmore, our volunteer of the year. Debbie has been with us from the very beginning of the program traveling over 6000 miles. She is a true CHAMPION for our program. . She is loved by all the staff and we value her so much as part of our volunteer team.
We also had the opportunity to recognize Robert “Corky” Jennings. Corky was awarded our Madlyn Butler Distinguished Service Award. Every year we present this award to an individual for distinguished service not only to Community Life Bridge- but to their community as a whole. Thank you, Corky, for displaying commitment to our mission in your personal and professional endeavors. You are an example to us all.
The event would not have been possible without the support of our community sponsors: Subaru of Gallatin, Sean Roach and Associates, Tenn Properties, ML Consulting, Volunteer State Bank, Takacs McGinnis, Grace Tomkins, Wilson Bank and Trust, The Goddard School, Tristar Hendersonville Medical Center, Pinnacle Financial Partners, and First Horizon Bank. We are honored to call you partners in serving our seniors of Sumner County.
In addition to these sponsors, we would like to thank Sellars Funeral Home, Re/Max Choice Properties Fran Marcou, Boger Construction, W. E. Shaw and Associates, Shelley Ames, and Brenda Payne, and Judge Kee Bryant-McCormick for sponsoring tables and helping to make our event beautiful!
Our small staff and committee worked very hard to create an event that would open our community’s eyes to the need of transportation that so many of our seniors have. In return, our community answered with beautiful auction items, many donations, and showing up to support us. We are so grateful to Brenda Payne, Shelley Ames, Fran Marcou, Robin Williams, Rita Krupp, Megan Lange, and Linda Bolt. These ladies went above and beyond to make our event a success!
Finally, thank you to all who attended and purchased auction items. We are so glad you came to learn more about our mission and celebrate the wonderful work our drivers do in our community. Without them there would be no Community Life Bridge. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer yourself, please visit our website: https://www.communitylifebridge.org/volunteers/apply/ or give us a call at: (615) 431-2660.
The mission of Community Life Bridge is to Bridge the Gap of unmet needs for mature adults, enhancing their quality of life and our community.
