Ken Wilber is a lifelong resident of Portland and is currently enjoying retirement with his wife, Jackie. They enjoy traveling, cycling, and spending time with their granddaughters. Ken and Jackie have three children and two granddaughters. Ken spent several years in public service as a Portland City Councilman (1987-1995), Superintendent of Public Works (1997-2003), and finally Mayor of Portland (2005-2018).
While in office, Ken represented Portland and Sumner County as the President of the Tennessee Municipal League President (2013), Past Chairman of Public Entity Partners Board of Trustees (formally Tennessee Municipal League Risk Management), Past Chairman of Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (2014-2015), Past President of Greater Nashville Regional Council (2010-2011), and Past Board member of the Tennessee Municipal Bond Fund.
He currently serves as an Elder at Portland Church of Christ, Portland Preservation Foundation Board, and is a member of the TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center Board of Trustees.
